Scotland
The Highlands has an enviable array of links
and parkland courses, which at the last count
numbered 44, and are the most scenic, unique,
and cost effective golf in the world. But, few
people know about the hidden gems throughout
the Highlands and we need to exploit our competitive
advantage and actively promote, in partnership
with golf courses, the facilities on offer,
to ensure that we achieve a greater market share
of golf tourism.

| ULLAPOOL
GOLF CLUB - Ross Shire |
Ross-shire
IV26 2TH
Scotland
Ullapool Golf Club was opened in April 1998 by
H.R.H Prince Andrew. The course is an exceptionally
picturesque nine-hole course which can prove to
be very testing to both beginner and experienced
players. The course is laid out from the Northern
boundaries of Ullapool, down to the shores of
Loch Broom. As you can imagine, the famous weather
in the Highlands of Scotland can add extra sport
to a game, but this can not only enhance the nature
of play but also accentuate the beauty and wildness
of the environment we are located within.

| FORTROSE
& ROSEMARKIE GOLF CLUB - Fortrose |
Ness Road East, Fortrose,
IV108SE
Scotland
Course architect James Braid's remarkable achievement
in designing 18 challenging
holes within the narrow Chanonry peninsula is
instantly obvious and admired by
first time visitors. What Fortrose and Rosemarkie
may lack in yardage is more than compensated
by its small deceptive greens and strategically
placed bunkers - challenges which
are multiplied in the mind of the player by a
public road dissecting the course,
the proximity of the sea to eight of the holes
and the dense island of gorse that
awaits the wayward shot at numerous others.

century, designed by Old Tom Morris of St Andrews,
and opened in 1899.
Cruden Bay offers an internationally famous golfing

- on one of the best links courses in Scotland,
and last year was placed at No 52 in the world

| COCHRANE
CASTLE GOLF CLUB - Johnston |
Scott Avenue, Craigston
Johnston
PA5 0HF
Scotland
Much of the course is situated on a hillside facing
north and affords fine views to Ben Lomond and
beyond. The variation in topography ensures a
variety of golfing challenges and the relatively
small greens demand accurate approach shots if
par is to be achieved. The opening holes are particularly
demanding and a good start is necessary otherwise
a 'No Return' is a distinct possibility.
