ArtHouse Hotel. All the ingredients
are spot on, and for only £100
for a double room. The hotel
is in the city centre, the rooms
are a good size and are well proportioned
with reasonable sized bathrooms. The design is bold: red, indigo
and blue with checked carpets
and grand velvet curtains dramatically
complementing the theatrical 1911
shell (a sweeping stairwell and
wrought-iron lift shoots up through
the centre of the building). Service
is consistently good. Even
if you don't stay, it's worth
a visit: the ArtHouse Grill
is a hot spot in its own right
