Built in 1895, this lodge has carved pitch-pine
woodwork and colourful stained glass
windows, with many original Victorian
features. A small family run hotel with
its own grounds, Brunstane Lodge lies
within the historic Victorian spa village
of Strathpeffer.
A range of single, double and triple/family
rooms is available and each room
has a beautiful view - over the
valley of the Peffery to the Cromarty
Firth, or to the mountains of Wester
Ross.
Food and Drink and the lodge is exceptional-
start your day with traditional porridge
or a selection of cereals, followed
by a sizzling full Scottish breakfast.
For walkers and anglers a packed lunch
can be provided. Excellent home-made
meals are available in the bar -
decorated in traditional tartan, with
a real fire and a selection of fine
malt whiskies.
Dinners are a sumptuous affair, set
in the delightful restaurant using
only the finest fresh local produce.
An unsurpassed choice of traditional
Scottish fare such as beef, fish and
game is on offer. Try his cullen
skink, or sample his venison and pear
casserole. The hotel also offers a fine
selection of wines to accompany the
dinner menu, which changes daily ... |
