CLAUREEN HEALTH FARM - Ennis - Munster - Mid West - Ireland

   

Claureen Health Farm is one of Ireland's longest established health farms/spa resorts.It is Irish Tourist Board Approved and located in Co. Clare in the west of Ireland, a part of the country renowned for its outstanding scenery and unspoilt natural beauty. The Claureen Health Farm is close to the town of Ennis (population 17,000) where tradition, culture and old world charm blends with a modern progressive town.

The concept that inspires the Claureen Health Farm is to provide for those who, because of the pressure and pace of modern living require the opportunity to unwind, relax and restore body and mind in a holiday atmosphere away from it all incorporating the holistic approach.

The Claureen Health Farm and Leisure Centre is designed to provide a high standard of relaxation - both physical and mental. Part of the week is set aside so that guests may be free to visit places of interest of their choice, such as Shannon Airport, Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, the Burren and Aillwee Caves, The Cliffs of Moher, historic castles and abbeys, seaside beaches at Lahinch, Spanish Point and Fanore, the famed Lisdoonvarna, visits to the Aran Islands, etc.

The diet is cleansing and detoxifying. It is fundamental to the programme. It is not solely a means of losing weight. It has a detoxifying effect and gives the digestive system a complete break. The diet is composed of fresh fruit, home-made soups and salads. Therefore, it is advisable to cut back on tea, coffee, soft drinks, salt and sugar a couple of weeks prior to arrival. For those who wish, we are prepared to relax the diet at mid-week by providing a light evening meal.

Each morning after breakfast: body conditioning/stretching class or low to medium impact aerobics followed by toning tables. Sauna, jacuzzi baths, sunbed etc.
Each afternoon: country walks or trips to the seaside or scenic areas in the health farm mini-bus. Yoga classes will be held some evening during the week and practitioners in aromatherapy, reflexology, physiotherapy, chiropracty are available on the health farm. Swimming, golf and horse riding can be arranged at nearby facilities.
