Dunbrody opened its doors to the public in May 1997 and became quickly established as one of Ireland’s leading gourmet retreats. Catherine & Kevin modified the original name to Dunbrody Country House Hotel. The image of the heron comes from the crest you will see above the front door and also in the fountain and on the gates of the sunken garden.

Located a mere two hours from Dublin and Cork International Airports and only 15 minutes from Waterford City, Dunbrody is easily accessible from both North and West.

Spacious and elegantly decorated, all of the bedrooms and suites are individually styled yet offer the same standards and amenities - CD/DVD players, Molton Brown in all the bathrooms, fluffy bathrobes, fresh cottons and fine furnishings. We have four different room categories, the top being suites, followed by deluxe and superior rooms all of which are south-facing, located at the front of the house over-looking the gardens. We also have a small number of standard rooms which over-look the cookery school and car park. Please ask if you have any special requirement vis-a-vis your room - twin beds, king size bed, sleigh bed etc and we will endeavour to meet your needs.

With Celebrity TV Chef Kevin Dundon as one of the owners it is no wonder that dining is a big deal here. The award-winning restaurant The Harvest Room is less of a hotel dining room and much more of a stylish, atmospheric restaurant. Renowned for always featuring locally-produced, seasonal produce our dishes always reflect the flavours of the seasons.

Located across the courtyard in an original stone building and with a contemporary interior of wood and natural stone, the Spa at Dunbrody will make guests feel cocooned and at ease from the moment they arrive. The treatment area is a luxurious haven complete with Asian styled serail steam & mud room, relaxation room with day beds and individually-styled treatment rooms all having in-room shower facilities. From the moment guests enter the calm and serene environment of the Dunbrody Spa, they will be able to enjoy an array of adventurous therapies designed exclusively by Elemis, USPA and Savage Beauty. Treatments will be healing and therapeutic, restoring the natural state and purifying the mind from the clutter of modern living.
